How to use Sarkosense correctly on sarcoids
Sarkosense was developed to support the skin in stressed areas such as sarcoids. The combination of natural ingredients can help stabilise the skin’s balance and support regeneration.
How you apply it makes a real difference
For Sarkosense to work at its best, correct preparation and application are key. Below we show you step by step how to mix the powder into a paste and how to apply it – with practical tips and notes for everyday use.

1) Mixing
Place the Sarkosense powder in a small bowl or deep plate – ideally using the enclosed measuring spoon or any other measuring spoon.
Then add cold tap water in a 2:1 ratio:
two parts powder, one part water.
If you want to prepare a larger amount, simply scale it up – for example: 4 scoops of powder + 2 scoops of water.

2) Stirring
Stir the mixture thoroughly until you get a spreadable, dough-like paste.
The paste is perfect when it is smooth and pliable – and does not drip off the spoon immediately.
If the mix is too runny, simply add a bit more powder. If it is too dry or crumbly, add small amounts of water and stir again until the consistency is right.

3) Storage
It’s best to mix only as much as you need for 2–3 days and take the paste to the stable in an airtight container.
When sealed well, it keeps without any issues.
If a little condensation forms during transport, no problem – just give it a quick stir and the paste is ready to use again.

4) Application
Here’s how to apply the paste correctly:
Spread a generous layer with your fingers – slightly beyond the edge of the affected area. Don’t worry: healthy skin is not harmed.
Important: Do not remove dry residue with water.
Gently lift it off with your fingers or simply apply a new layer of paste on top.
You may need some patience, but continue using Sarkosense until healthy skin has formed again. Stay consistent, but relaxed. Horse skin needs time and routine.
Consistency makes the difference
Regular care supports the skin’s natural balance. Sarkosense can be used over a longer period without irritating the skin.
Sarkosense does not replace veterinary treatment; it supports the accompanying skin care.
